A cowboy was herding his herd in a remote pasture when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out
of a dust cloud towards him. The driver, a young man in a Brioni suit, Gucci shoes, Ray Ban
sunglasses and YSL tie, leans out the window and asks the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many
cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?"

The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and
calmly answers, "Sure. Why not?" The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer,
connects it to his AT&T cell phone, surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS
satellite navigation system to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA
satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. The young man then opens the digital
photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany.

What Makes Us So Different?

Within seconds, he receives an email on his
Palm Pilot that the image has been processed
and the data stored. He then accesses a
MS-SQL database through an ODBC connected
Excel spreadsheet with hundreds of complex
formulas. He uploads all of this data via an email
on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes,
receives...
The joke is funny... maybe not. In the real world
consultants tend to have that type of notoriety.
It's true, anybody can call themselves a
consultant and it is especially true in the fitness
industry. Everyone seems to want to give out
advice, from your local equipment rep to your
software provider. What most of these people
don't realize is that they are playing with your life.

True consulting is a complex endeavor and it requires a lot of experience, a very large sample of
businesses to analyze and gather information from, and a specific skill-set to be able to
trouble-shoot problems and provide systematic solutions. The opportunity to doll out advice should
not to be taken lightly. If not enough questions are asked, the right ones aren't asked, or the
trouble-shooting was not in-depth enough, the advice given may hurt the club owner. If it's not your
money, it's easy to give advice.

I would personally like to invite you to get involved in one of our programs. We understand how hard
it really is to make money in this business. Our philosophy is simple. We don't compete for your
business, we don't base our information on theory and conceptualization, and we don't expect you
to be satisfied with sub-par service and attention.

We also understand that reaching any financial goal requires help: a program designed for your
needs based on your club and your market, an unbelievable strategy of systems implementation,
and a support team that understands the special needs of a health club. We understand that there
are many other "consultants" in the fitness industry.

We think you will like it here because you will feel comfortable that we provide the best solutions,
you will know that we respect the time, stress, and energy that you put into your business, and that
we'll do everything we can to help you reach your goals. We really do feel we're the best in the
industry and we will prove it to you.
